The New York Yankees are expected to make one more move this MLB offseason.

The New York Yankees have re-signed Cody Bellinger, and Freddy Peralta and MacKenzie Gore are now both off the market after being traded to the New York Mets and Texas Rangers, respectively.

So what now for the Yankees?

Mark Feinsand of MLB.com revealed one more move New York seems likely to make this winter, but it isn't all that exciting.

"The Yankees had been in contact with the Brewers about Peralta, but now that he’s off the board, I don’t expect them to be in the mix for any of the free-agent starters, including [Framber] Valdez, Zac Gallen, Chris Bassitt or Lucas Giolito," Feinsand wrote. "As for the lineup, Bellinger was the only missing piece. With that situation settled, GM Brian Cashman will likely look to add a bullpen piece or two."

While that isn't exactly groundbreaking, it's necessary.

New York lost a pair of key relievers in Devin Williams and Luke Weaver to free agency, leaving its bullpen lacking depth.

The Yankees will field a relief staff that includes Tim Hill, Fernando Cruz, Camilo Doval and David Bednar next season, but they could certainly stand to add another arm.

Of course, there really aren't too many intriguing relievers available at this point of the offseason, but Cashman always seems to manage to piece together a strong bullpen.

It's also important to remember that New York re-signed Ryan Yarbrough and Paul Blackburn, both of whom will probably end up in the pen. Even Ryan Weathers, who was acquired by the Yanks last week, could head to the bullpen once Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodon get healthy.

It doesn't appear that the Yankees will be pursuing any other starters on the trade market. At least not right now.

Of course, if an interesting name surfaces (like Minnesota Twins star Joe Ryan, for example), New York might get involved. But now that Peralta and Gore have already been dealt, the Yanks may feel content heading into 2026 with their current setup.

The Yankees also don't seem to be int the market for another bat after retaining Bellinger. They could still use offensive upgrades at multiple positions, but New York will probably remain as is offensively at the moment.
