Jeremy Bullins Named as Crew Chief for Riley Herbst in 2027

Legacy Motor Club named Jeremy Bullins as Riley Herbst's crew chief for 2027, just days after Bullins left RFK Racing. Bullins will crew chief for Herbst and the No. 84 team after two seasons with Brad Keselowski. His tenure with Keselowski ended last weekend in the Bass Pro Shops Bristol Night Race, a week after they had a strong race at World Wide Technology Raceway Gateway. Legacy's crew chief lineup is now essentially set for 2027 with some major changes. While Ben Beshore is set to return to the No. 43 team for his third full-time season with Erik Jones, the organization promoted Chais Eliason to crew chief of the No. 42 team. Josh Berry will take over the No. 42 car from John Hunter Nemechek next season. Berry comes to Legacy from Wood Brothers Racing. No word on where Nemechek will go in 2027. Jones is entering his 11th full-time Cup Series season and his seventh in the No. 43.Sep 24, 2026

Former NASCAR Owner George Gillett Jr Has Passed Away

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman confirmed the passing of George Gillett Jr., who bought into Evernham Motorsports in late-2007. Under Gillett's ownership, Kasey Kahne won four races and three poles and a fourth with Patrick Carpentier at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in June of 2008. The organization was known as Gillett Evernham Motorsports until 2009 when they merged with Petty Enterprises to become Richard Petty Motorsports. Gillett sold his stake in 2010. Bettman issued this statement on Gillett's passing: “George Gillett’s passion for the Montreal Canadiens and commitment to the city of Montreal were demonstrated throughout his tenure as owner of the storied franchise from 2001 to 2009. He guided the Canadiens through a significant chapter in their history that included preparations for their Centennial Celebration, which honored the franchise’s rich legacy and seminal place in our game. George was a friend whose company I always enjoyed, whose counsel was wise, and whose energy was contagious. His contributions to the hockey world left an enduring mark, and his legacy will continue to be felt throughout the game for years to come. The National Hockey League sends its heartfelt condolences to his family and many friends.”Sep 24, 2026
