Chandler Smith seemed destined for Cup action in 2023 when he moved up to the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series as their franchise driver. Then, after the partnership hit a snag as Kaulig shuffled around, he joined Joe Gibbs Racing for one year before not getting another year. 

After 2024, Smith's future looked uncertain. However, he put a deal together in early 2025 with Front Row Motorsports. The deal continues on to this day and has seen him get multiple races.

Now, Smith is getting another chance at NOAPS race after attempting the Daytona 500 earlier this year. Will he one day be a full-time Cup driver?
