CONCORD, N.C. — Nitro Motorsports is pleased to announce that young standout Julian DaCosta will advance to the team’s ARCA Menards Series West program for the 2026 season.
After a successful year competing under the Nitro banner in the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli, DaCosta will continue his development within the organization as he transitions into the NASCAR sanctioned series.
DaCosta, a multi-time Trans Am TA2 podium winner, becomes the latest driver to progress through Nitro Motorsports’ development ladder, which operates championships in Karting, GR Cup, Trans Am, and ARCA.
“We are thrilled to have Julian continue with us in 2026,” expressed Nick Tucker, Co-Owner of Nitro Motorsports. “He demonstrated real growth in Trans Am this season — both in terms of pace and professionalism — and we believe he’s ready for the ARCA platform. This next step will help him continue building the skills needed to compete at the highest levels of American motorsports.”
After gaining experience in the Trans Am TA2 class, DaCosta now turns his focus to ARCA Menards Series West, known for producing future national-level NASCAR talent. The move allows him to apply his road-racing foundation while accelerating his development in ovals as he continues his career in progression in the NASCAR ladder.
“I’m extremely excited for this next chapter,” added DaCosta. “Nitro Motorsports has given me everything I need to grow, learn, and succeed. The Trans Am season helped prepare me for the challenges ahead, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to take this next step with the same team behind me. I can’t wait to get to work.”
DaCosta is scheduled to participate in a full slate of winter testing in preparation for his ARCA West debut. Additional details, including car number, partnerships, and full event schedule, will be released at a later date.
