Kyle Larson returns to Elk Grove, CA to celebrate his 2025 NASCAR Cup Championship in his hometown

Elk Grove, California native Kyle Larson and his family will participate in a Championship Parade in Elk Grove on Friday, Nov. 14. Immediately followed by a ceremony at the Old Town Plaza.

The event will begin at Noon at Boulevard Bistro with a parade down Elk Grove Blvd and ending at the Old Town Plaza. It is open and FREE to the public.

Larson will return to Sonoma Raceway for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

WHERE: Old Town Plaza | 9615 Railroad Street, Elk Grove, CA

PARADE ROUTE: Parade will begin at Boulevard Bistro (8941 Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove), head East on Elk Grove Blvd and make a slight right on Railroad Street before ending at the Old Town Plaza (9615 Railroad St, Elk Grove).

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Kyle Larson, driving the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, captured his second NASCAR Cup Series title (2021 and 2025).
  • His third-place finish behind Ryan Blaney and Brad Keselowski was enough to clinch the crown as the top finisher among the Championship 4 (Denny Hamlin, William Byron, Chase Briscoe, Kyle Larson).
  • The title marked Rick Hendrick’s 15th Cup Championship, cementing the team owner’s legendary legacy.
  • Kyle has had great success in Sonoma, winning the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NCS race twice (2021, 2024) and five career pole awards, including five in a row from 2017 – 2022 (no race in 2020 due to COVID).
  • Kyle grew up going to NASCAR races at Sonoma Raceway (previously Sears Point International Raceway) in the 1990s with his family.
  • Nov. 22 has been declared “Kyle Larson Day” by his hometown of Elk Grove, Calif.
  • This summer’s tripleheader weekend at Sonoma Raceway will feature the NCS Toyota/Save Mart 350 on Sunday, June 28, the NXS race on Saturday, June 27 and the ARCA Menards Series West race on Friday, June 26.
