The Philadelphia 76ers (28-21) took down Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers (23-26) on Monday evening 128-113.
Here's a look at four major takeaways from Philadelphia's victory:
One of the Sixers' unsung heroes this season had arguably his performance of the year. Barlow finished the game with 26 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block on 10 of 16 shooting. It's worth mentioning he had 10 offensive rebounds.
Barlow continues to prove why he's deserving of a standard NBA contract, as his energy and activeness were crucial factors in emerging victorious against L.A.
Only half of the 76ers' superstar duo was named to the All-Star Game, but both continue to play at that level. Maxey concluded the night with 29 points, six assists, five rebounds, and three steals on 50% shooting and 7 of 14 shooting in 36 minutes of action.
Meanwhile, Embiid had a bit of a quieter game for his standards as of late, recording 24 points, five rebounds, and three assists on 8 of 19 shooting in 32 minutes. It remains a possibility Embiid will replace Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo in the All-Star Game.
Without James Harden in the mix, this game was always going to be an uphill battle for Leonard and the Clippers. Leonard did all he could to keep the matchup competitive, tallying 29 points, six assists, four rebounds, and three steals on 57.1% shooting in 31 minutes of play.
Jordan Miller (21 points) and Kobe Sanders (17 points) were the second and third leading scorers for L.A. in this game.
When looking at the box score, it appears Edgecombe had a rather terrible outing, finishing with five points, three rebounds, and seven assists on 1 of 11 shooting. While it was a rough night scoring the ball, he created some masterful looks for his teammates by attacking the paint.
He also impacted the game at a high level defensively, swarming to the ball on the perimeter and being a pest for the Clippers' guards to deal with.
