A recap of Friday night's Game 3 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics.

A high-intensity game from tip-off until the final buzzer.

That's the best way to describe Game 3 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics.

Unfortunately for 76ers fans, the matchup barely went in the Celtics' favor, as Boston emerged victorious 108-100 to take a 2-1 series lead. Game 4 is on Sunday, April 26, at 7 PM ET, and the hope is superstar center Joel Embiid will be able to return for Philadelphia.

Here's a look at key observations from Game 3:

Jaylen Brown And Jayson Tatum Show Why They're Regarded As A Top NBA Duo

Talk about delivering down the stretch, as Tatum and Brown stepped up when the Celtics needed them most. Tatum delivered the game-sealing three-pointer on Adem Bona with less than 30 seconds to go in regulation to put Boston up by six points.

The superstar forward finished the game with 25 points, seven assists, and four rebounds on 52.9% shooting and 5 of 9 shooting from three-point range in 42 minutes of action. 11 of his points came in the final quarter.

Meanwhile, Brown concluded the evening with 25 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three blocks on 9 of 16 shooting in 40 minutes. He had 14 points in the second half.

Tyrese Maxey Is Proving He's Capable Of Being A No. 1 Option

Without Embiid, no one was quite sure how much of a fight the 76ers would be able to put up against the heavily experienced Celtics. Maxey, along with V.J. Edgecombe, is ensuring Boston has to battle for each victory.

The two-time All-Star tallied 31 points, six assists, four rebounds, and two blocks on 12 of 31 shooting and 5 of 13 shooting from the arc. While this stellar outing didn't lead to a victory, it goes to show what Philadelphia is capable of when at full strength.

The 76ers' Centers Are Capable Of Holding Their Own Without Embiid In The Mix

Boston's center duo of Neemias Queta and Nikola Vucevic isn't the most intimidating, but most predicted they would still give Andre Drummond and Adem Bona trouble. Instead, Drummond and Bona are holding their own on both ends of the floor.

Drummond finished Game 3 with 12 points and six rebounds on 5 of 6 shooting while Bona recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and three blocks.
