The injury report for Thursday's Game 6 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics.

The Philadelphia 76ers (2-3) are looking to avoid postseason elimination against the Boston Celtics (3-2) once again in Game 6 on Thursday night at 8 PM ET in Philadelphia.

Game 5 displayed what the 76ers are capable of at full strength. Joel Embiid led the team with 33 points, eight assists, and four rebounds on 52.2% shooting in 39 minutes of action while Tyrese Maxey added 25 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists on 10 of 18 shooting. Philadelphia also got strong outings from Paul George, Quentin Grimes, and V.J. Edgecombe.

If the Sixers are able to perform at a similar level at home on Thursday, the Celtics are in serious danger of playing a Game 7 in the first round.

Here is the injury report for Game 6 of 76ers-Celtics:

76ERS

Joel Embiid: Probable - Post Appendectomy; Surgery Recovery

Tyrese Maxey: Available - Right Finger; Tendon Strain - Splint

CELTICS

No Injuries To Report

Embiid is just three weeks removed from surgery yet is already performing at a superstar level. He understandably looked exhausted at times in Game 5 but persevered and carried Philadelphia to a needed victory. It shouldn't come as a surprise or concern that he's listed as probable rather than available.

Boston has been at full strength for the entire series, but the 76ers continue to give them trouble.

The reality is the Celtics live and die by three-point shooting, so the outcome of Game 6 could very well be determined by their efficiency from the outside.

Celtics superstar forward Jayson Tatum played just 16 games in the regular season after returning from a 10-month absence due to a torn Achilles. However, it hasn't seemed to effect him at all in the playoffs, as he recorded 24 points and 16 rebounds in Game 5.

One player Boston is undoubtedly hoping to get more out of on the offensive end is guard Derrick White, who is averaging 8.2 points on 29.8% shooting this series.
