A preview of the Philadelphia 76ers' game against the Boston Celtics.

The Philadelphia 76ers (33-26) are facing off against the Boston Celtics (39-20) on Sunday night at 8 PM ET in TD Garden.

How Both Teams Enter Sunday

Philadelphia has won three consecutive games entering this matchup, with victories coming over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Indiana Pacers, and Miami Heat. Superstar center Joel Embiid appeared in two of these three games, recording 27 points against Indiana and 26 points versus Miami.

It's worth noting prior to the three-game win streak, the 76ers fell short in four games in a row, with losses against the Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, and New Orleans Pelicans.

In this seven-game stretch, Philadelphia's No. 1 option Tyrese Maxey tallied 30 or more points four times. He remains the reliable backbone of the 76ers' rotation with Embiid in and out of the lineup and Paul George suspended.

The Celtics, meanwhile, have been on a tear coming off the All-Star break, emerging victorious in four of their last five games. They have taken down the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Brooklyn Nets. Their lone loss in that span came against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.

Key To Success

76ers: For Philadelphia to upset the Celtics without Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and V.J. Edgecombe each need to thrive. Both have been hot as of late, so it's not out of the realm of possibilities.

Celtics: Boston proved against the Nets on Friday, they have no issues scoring the ball, as they put up 148 points. What's going to matter for them against the 76ers is containing Maxey and Edgecombe.
