The Philadelphia 76ers are still hearing the same news about when LeBron James plans to sign.

The Philadelphia 76ers continue to wait for LeBron James' free agency decision.

It feels as though every day there is a new update regarding James, but each echoes a similar message. The same can be said about the latest update from ESPN and NBA insider Shams Charania.

"I spoke to Rich Paul, his long-time agent, this morning, and Rich Paul made it clear to me that the choice is LeBron James' right now," Charania said. "All of the information is in, the teams are set, everyone's made their moves. There is no decision, no choice yet, there's no timetable on a choice as of yet.

Charania continued, "We know the teams Cleveland, Miami, Philadelphia, Golden State, Minnesota... My understanding, though, over the last couple weeks is that the focus is primarily on the Eastern Conference teams being Cleveland, Miami, and Philadelphia, and we all continue to wait."

This is virtually the same message the Sixers have heard for several weeks now.

The front office has done its part by trading for Jaylen Brown, publicly recruiting him, and speaking to him one-on-one. The stars of the roster have also done what's needed of them to show the 22-time All-Star he is being prioritized and desired.

Now, the decision is James' just as Charania said.

The four-time NBA champion must choose where he will spend the final year(s) of his illustrious career. The assumption is he'll choose the team that he believes gives him the best opportunity to win title No. 5.

If that holds true, the 76ers have a compelling case. They have a star-studded roster, a championship-winning coach, respectable depth, an open starting spot for him, and more.

Still, Philadelphia cannot offer the same 'storybook' ending as the Miami Heat or Cleveland Cavaliers. Nor can they present the closeness to his family that the Golden State Warriors do.

With all these different factors in mind, one holds true. That is, fanbases and organizations are undoubtedly growing tired of the repititive updates
