76ers fans are fuming following a trade that sent Jared McCain to the OKC Thunder.
Just one day before the NBA trade deadline, the Philadelphia 76ers made the decision to part ways with a fan favorite.
The organization has traded away second-year guard Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2026 1st-round pick and three second-round picks. (2027, 2028 OKC, 2028 MIL).
McCain was electric during his rookie season, averaging 15.3 points, 2.4 assists, and 2.6 rebounds on 46% shooting from the field. However, his rookie season was cut short due to a torn meniscus, which forced him to miss most of it and a large portion of this year.
He has found his stride in recent weeks, putting together solid performances for the 76ers, but he has been largely disappointing this season, averaging 6.6 points per game, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
McCain will now be joining an Oklahoma City Thunder team that sits as the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Based on the news, 76ers fans weren't too pleased with the trade. 76ers fans weren't too pleased with the trade that general manager Darryl Morey has pulled off at the deadline.
