Philadelphia 76ers fans had a wide array of opinions on the idea of the team trading for Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The trade rumors surrounding Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo are heating up yet again.

This is because ESPN's Shams Charania broke the news Wednesday that "Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready for a new home at the Feb. 5 NBA trade deadline or in the offseason as several rival teams make aggressive offers to the Milwaukee Bucks for him, and the franchise is starting to listen, league sources tell ESPN."

While the Philadelphia 76ers are not widely seen as a top destination for the nine-time All-Star, they do have the assets necessary to acquire him. With the salary of Paul George combined with rookie phenom V.J. Edgecombe and draft capital, the Sixers could make a serious push to acquire Antetokounmpo.

However, Philadelphia fans are not so fond of this idea, sharing their thoughts on this speculated trade on social media.

SportsRadioWIP posted, "The Milwaukee Bucks' asking price for Giannis Antetokounmpo is, 'Blue-chip young talent and/or a surplus of draft picks,' per @ShamsCharania. V.J. Edgecombe and multiple first-round picks for Giannis—who says no?"

Here's how 76ers fans reacted:

@JoyOnBroad: "Me. And any Sixers fan with a modicum of sense. Giannis is one more calf injury away from a torn Achilles."

@InalienableZen: "VJ, [Tyrese] Maxey and [Joel] Embiid are the only untouchables. Send them McCain and picks. If they don’t accept it, move on.

@TjDagreatest_: "We have a future now with Maxey and Embiid and a chance at a title if you throw in Giannis I get it I love Vj too but if they want him I would trade him Giannis is a top 5 player and will be for years we would have a championship window for years"

@SpeedLikeDjac11: "We actually have a future with maxey and Vj and we want to blow it up for a 31 year old who is injury prone.."

@taeoct6jr: "Embiid and giannis is a nightmare fit it just would not work, they both need to be near the paint to thrive"

If one thing is for certain, it's that Sixers fans are passionate about this topic with hundreds of users making their case for or against this possible blockbuster trade.

It's unlikely that Antetokounmpo ends up in Philadelphia, as teams including the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New York Knicks have openly expressed interest in the two-time MVP. However, it's fun to speculate about a world where Philadelphia forms a terrifying 'Big Three' of Embiid, Maxey, and Antetokounmpo.
