76ers Star Jaylen Brown Sends Cryptic Message to Celtics

Whenever a team trades away a valuable piece to their team, it’s always some animosity if the player feels disrespected.

New Philadelphia 76ers wing Jaylen Brown has been on a mission to do everything he can to help the team win. After he was traded away for an older player and some draft picks, he’s sure to be laser focused. This season. Brown appeared on the Tonight Show with Anthony Anderson when he was asked whether he felt it was smart for Boston to trade him away.

His only answer, "We'll find out."

It was said in a humorous yet serious undertone that implied he took the move personal. That’s the best type of attitude for a player to have with a new team.

His determined glare is only a microcosm of what’s to come for Philadelphia. The 76ers may be in for an MVP-like season, and this is what they traded for. A player who can take control and put the team on his back.

Last season Brown averaged 28 points, the highest average of his career. But now he may fill out the rest of the stat sheet on a nightly basis. This could be the year when he shows the association; this wasn’t just a one-off, and he is for real.

The bad blood between Brown and Jayson Tatum will be a season-long topic. The two former teammates have always been talked about as two alphas. Brown will be sure to do what it takes to win, but there’s surely a possibility that he makes sure he does better than Tatum.

Philadelphia puts Brown in the perfect situation where he doesn’t have to score 30 a night. Not only that, but he knows that this team is better offensively. Nearly every position is an upgrade from what he had in Boston.

Brown emphasized it’s going to be more about everyone and not solely about him. This can only mean he plans to get others involved so that his style of play can thrive later in the season. Philadelphia is projected to be a postseason lock, and Brown is going to be the key to that coming to fruition.

Even though the team and fanbase are looking for a big year from Brown, his mindset is to do what matters most for the team.
