Former Philadelphia 76ers star Lou Williams gave his take on this year's team.

The Philadelphia 76ers are among the Eastern Conference's top teams this season.

With a record of 29-21 following their 113-94 win over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, they are on a five-game winning streak, and as things appear, the team has found its stride and is drawing national attention.

During the FanDuel TV Run It Back show, former 76ers star Lou Williams, joined with a panel that also features former All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins and Iman Shumpert, has discussed the Sixers and how they stack up against some of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

"They got great guard play,” Williams said. You got Embiid back in form; by playoff time they'll have Paul George back in uniform. I don't know where Barlow came from; he looks like a guy who's going to give them something... they have a lot of different people who can beat you on any given night, and that makes the 76ers dangerous.”

Shumpert further chimed in with high praise towards 76ers rookie out of Baylor, V.J. Edgecombe.

“Anytime they're in disarray, he just plays hard and figures out some random young kid stuff," Shumpert said.

Currently, the 76ers hold the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference, just above the NBA Play-In and ahead of the No. 7 seeded Miami Heat.  Much of their recent team success stems from the stellar play of their two stars, Joel Embiid, who has been dominant in January, and Tyrese Maxey, who earned an All-Star starter honor this season.

Both have shouldered the load for the 76ers, but equally important has been the contribution of role players like V.J. Edgecombe, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Andre Drummond, who have held things down for the team.

Even without Paul George, who is currently serving a 25-game suspension, the team continued to find ways to win convincingly on the shoulders of Joel Embiid and All-Star starter Tyrese Maxey.

The 76ers have shown resilience so far this season, and they would look to build on their win on Monday over the Golden State Warriors when they take on Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers.
