Joel Embiid Probable To Play Against Miami: 76ers-Heat Injury Report cover image

The full injury report for Thursday's game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat

The Philadelphia 76ers (32-26) have an important game against the Miami Heat (31-28) on Thursday night at 7 PM ET.

Philadelphia has won two consecutive games, with victories of more than 20 points coming over the Minnesota Timberwolves and Indiana Pacers. Meanwhile, the Heat have come out on top in three of their last four matchups but had an embarrassing loss to the Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

Here is the full injury report for 76ers-Heat:

76ERS

MarJon Beauchamp: Doubtful - G League; Two-Way

Johni Broome: Out - Right Knee; Meniscus Tear

Joel Embiid: Probable - Right Knee; Injury Management, Right Shin; Soreness

Paul George: Out - League Suspension

HEAT

For the 76ers, likely having Embiid available for this matchup is huge news. The Heat oftentimes resort to a double-big man lineup of Kel'el Ware and Bam Adebayo, so Embiid's interior presence will be greatly needed.

Not to mention, he had a strong performance in his return from injury against the Indiana Pacers, recording 27 points, six rebounds, and five assists on 64.7% shooting in 26 minutes of action. This matchup with Adebayo will be quite the test for Embiid, as the Heat center is praised as one of the NBA's best defenders.

The biggest potential absence for the Heat is starting guard Davion Mitchell, who is known for his lockdown perimeter defense. If he's unable to suit up, Tyrese Maxey and/or V.J. Edgecombe could have strong outings against a defensively weak Miami backcourt.
