LeBron James' status remains uncertain as the undefeated Philadelphia 76ers face a rebuilding Milwaukee squad. This could force Tyrese Maxey and a struggling bench to step up in his absence.

The Philadelphia 76ers (2-0) are gearing up for a matchup against the new-look Milwaukee Bucks (0-2) Saturday night at 7:30 PM ET at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

After a massive comeback against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the 76ers will look to keep the winning streak alive against a Bucks team that looks to be in rebuild mode. There are some significant injuries that could halt that winning streak of the 76ers.

Here is the injury report for the 76ers:

James being added to the injury report could be a little concerning, but it’s to be expected. Let’s be honest here: James is 41 years old with sciatica issues; it makes sense for the 76ers to give him a rest. James has also played over 30 minutes in both games and had to fill in at the center position; there has to be some time for his body to recover.

The good thing is that they are going against a Bucks team that doesn’t pose a huge threat to them. While it is true that this is the NBA and you can lose on any given night, the Bucks are a lost franchise without a star player since trading away Giannis Antetokounmpo. This could be a game where James gets to rest and everyone else on the 76ers can handle business on their own. Tyrese Maxey has been on a roll early on this season, and this could be a game where many see VJ Edgecombe step to the front and showcase what he can do.

Wade has yet to play for the 76ers this season, and the bench could really use him. The bench have struggled in their first two games, scoring only 35 points. The only two to have any production have been Anfernee Simon and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. If the bench is to have any success and allow for the starters to get some adequate rest, Wade will have to return.

The centre position has been out of whack from the moment the season began. Barlow and Fall may not have been the first answer for the 76ers, but they could help ease the struggles at the position. Rebounding and interior scoring have continued to be huge eye sore that Philadelphia can’t shake.

Philadelphia look to continue their undefeated streak as they prove who the superior team is in this conference matchup.
