Philadelphia and LeBron James could be a match made in heaven or a recipe for disaster. One sports columnist believes this could be the biggest mistake of James career.

Bleacher Report believes LeBron James will end up regretting his decision to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers.
B/R dropped a list detailing what the top-five biggest regrets of the NBA offseason will be, and for James, it’s signing with Philadelphia. The reasoning is they feel it’s too many questions surrounding the team.
This is actually an easy choice because who wouldn’t choose the aging forward? His supporting cast is the thing that’ll keep the team on pace. Each player has a question surrounding them. Jaylen Brown and his ability to score without having the ball at all times. Joel Embiid and his injuries are a constant question.
Bleacher Report adds that Brown and James are a bad match due to shot usage. If that were the case, then Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown would’ve never won a championship together.
The Embiid concern is truly something to have to come to terms with. He has degenerative knees and it’s just hard to expect a big man who is going at it night after night with another center in the paint. It’s something that at this point, the team has accepted and has probably put things in place to overcome that issue.
There really isn’t anything negative about this move. It’s a two-year deal that has no impact on the 76ers financially. What would James regret about the decision? He’s going to a team that doesn’t have to rely on him to be the prominent scorer for the team. If it's the legacy we’re talking about, the decision will have no bearing.
Bleacher Report has even suggested that James being in a 76ers jersey is reminiscent of Michael Jordan as a Washington Wizard and Shaquille O’Neal as a Boston Celtic. The thing they fail to mention is how Jordan was still averaging over 20 points in those two years.
At the end of the day it’s not a bad move for the 22-time All-Star to choose a team that would have a higher success rate. Every other team that inquired about the future Hall of Famer had its own share of issues.
No matter who he chose, there would always be doubt about how well he would fit on the team. If any team gave him the best chance to go far, it’s the Philadelphia 76ers.
