Philadelphia 76ers star forward Paul George had a fantastic showing on both ends of the floor in Game 6.
The Philadelphia 76ers are a single victory away from pulling off a rare feat.
Coming back from down 3-1 in the NBA Playoffs to win a series has only happened 13 times in league history, but the 76ers have a chance to add to that total on Saturday in Boston against the Celtics.
Star forward Paul George is a huge reason why the Sixers even have an opportunity to do so. He is averaging 18.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.7 steals on 48.7% shooting and 54.3% shooting from three-point range in the postseason. Not only has he been efficient on the offensive end, but the nine-time All-Star is making life miserable on the defensive end for Celtics superstars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
In Game 6, George played phenomenally on both ends of the floor once again. After the matchup, 76ers coach Nick Nurse made his feelings clear on the performance as well as George's contributions throughout the series.
"He was great," Nurse said, per Derek Bodner. "I've been saying it the whole series. He's been just excellent on defense, the entire game. Those two guys are great wings and he has to battle them every possession. They're scoring, but he's making them really work for it, and he's getting more confident every game at the offensive end."

More importantly than contributing on the offensive end in Game 7 will be George's impact on the defensive end. Slowing down Tatum and Brown will be key to the 76ers emerging victorious. Both Celtics stars were held under 20 points in Game 6, and the result was a comfortable Philadelphia win.
George may not always score the ball like a maximum contract player should, but he more than makes up for it defensively and by doing the little things.
