Philadelphia 76ers superstar center Joel Embiid says he feels "amazing" physically ahead of Saturday's Game 7.

Philadelphia 76ers superstar center Joel Embiid is ready for Game 7 against the Boston Celtics.

After recording a near triple-double of 19 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in Game 6, Embiid was asked postgame how he feels physically entering the win-or-go-home matchup against Boston.

"I tell my brain that I feel amazing, so I feel amazing," Embiid said, per 94WIP. "Hopefully my brain understands it, but sometimes it's hard. Your body tells you something different, but I feel amazing."

Embiid underwent emergency appendectomy surgery on April 9, but his level of play versus the Celtics seems unaffected for the most part. For the 76ers to emerge victorious on Saturday, the seven-time All-Star, along with Tyrese Maxey and Paul George, needs to be at his best on both ends of the floor.

One of the keys for Philadelphia in Game 7 will be getting Celtics starting center Neemias Queta into foul trouble early on. This will allow Embiid to have a favorable matchup against Boston backups Nikola Vucevic and Luka Garza.

Throughout the series, Vucevic and Garza have looked lost attempting to guard Embiid, which has drawn double teams on the 2023 MVP. The extra defender coming to help the Boston big man has allowed Embiid to show off his playmaking chops and hit the open man on the arc.

The 76ers could also benefit from stronger efficiency from Embiid.

In Game 6, he knocked down just 6 of his 18 attempts and 1 of his 5 shots from three-point range. The positive news is he was finding favorable looks from the arc and the midrange, but the attempts just weren't falling at a high rate.

Philadelphia needs him to shoot the ball more like he did in Game 5, when he made 52.2% of his shots and finished with 33 points.

Hearing Embiid say he feels "amazing" ahead of the biggest game of the season should certainly ease some of the nerves 76ers fans undoubtedly have.
