Bleacher Report answers the question of who the Philadelphia 76ers' most untouchable player(s) is.

The Philadelphia 76ers have a roster full of talent.

From young stars such as Tyrese Maxey and V.J. Edgecombe to established veterans including Joel Embiid and Paul George, the 76ers truly have a wide array of players.

With so much skill on one team, it begs the question of who is the most untouchable among the bunch?

Bleacher Report believes it's not a single player, but rather the backcourt of Maxey and Edgecombe.

"Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe are perhaps the most exciting young backcourt in the NBA," B/R's Greg Swartz wrote. "As tempting as it may be for Daryl Morey to go start hunting again this offseason, his guards need to be off limits."

Maxey's 2025-2026 regular season marked a career year, as he averaged career highs in points (28.3), assists (6.6), rebounds (4.1), steals (1.9), and blocks (0.8) all while shooting 46.2% and 36.7% from three-point range. He is likely to earn an All-NBA Team selection for the first time as well.

He essentially carried the 76ers to the postseason, as Embiid and George missed significant time during the regular season, leaving him to serve as the No. 1 option.

In the playoffs, his scoring is a bit down with Embiid back in the mix, but he is still a key reason Philadelphia was able to defeat the Boston Celtics in the first round.

Edgecombe is one of the league's most exciting rookies, alongside Dallas Mavericks' Cooper Flagg and Charlotte Hornets' Kon Knueppel. He is a freak of nature athlete who contributed at a high level on both ends of the floor all season long. He has not slowed down in the playoffs, either.

He averaged 16.0 points in the regular season and finished third in Rookie of the Year voting behind Flagg and Knueppel. His postseason numbers are 15.0 points per game on 42.6% shooting.

The only way the 76ers should even consider parting ways with Edgecombe after his stellar rookie campaign is if Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is available.
