Milwaukee is reportedly shopping veterans as the franchise reshapes its roster after trading Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The blockbuster that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat was supposed to be the biggest move of the Bucks' offseason, but Milwaukee might not be done dealing.
According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, both Myles Turner and Kyle Kuzma remain on the trade block as the front office works to reshape a roster that went 32-50 last season and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
The Case for Moving Turner
Turner came to Milwaukee on a four-year, $109 million deal in the 2025 offseason as the Bucks tried to build a contender around Giannis, but the fit never really came together.
He averaged 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks while shooting 44 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from three, a step down from his best seasons in Indiana.
With two guaranteed years and a player option left at roughly $27 million per year, the salary is tough to move, but Turner's ability to stretch the floor and protect the rim still appeals to teams around the league.
Fischer reported that Milwaukee has received trade interest in Turner, though one league source noted that the Bucks are "not actively engaged" in dealing him just yet.
The Toronto Raptors have reportedly explored building a package around Jakob Poeltl and draft picks, and the Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets and Los Angeles Lakers have all been connected to Turner at various points.
For a Bucks team entering a new era under head coach Taylor Jenkins, keeping a 30-year-old center on a big deal does not match a rebuild centered around Kel'el Ware and the rookies Milwaukee just drafted.
Kuzma's Expiring Deal
Kuzma arrived in Milwaukee at the 2025 trade deadline when the Bucks sent Khris Middleton to Washington, and he put up 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 69 games while shooting a career-high 49.2 percent from the field.
He is heading into the final year of his contract at roughly $20 million, making him one of the easier pieces to move for teams that want a wing without a long-term commitment.
The updated depth chart already has Jaime Jaquez Jr. in line for a bigger role at forward, and with Nate Ament arriving from the draft, Kuzma's minutes could be hard to find next season.
The 2020 NBA champion is still a proven scorer who can play multiple positions, which should draw interest from contenders, especially teams in the Western Conference where wing depth is always at a premium.
What It All Means
Milwaukee is not rushing anything, and Fischer's reporting suggests the Bucks are still figuring out what they can get in return.
Moving both veterans would help clear salary and open playing time for the young talent Milwaukee added in the Giannis trade and the draft.
Whether those deals happen before training camp or closer to the deadline remains to be seen, but the Bucks are clearly open for business.
