The Milwaukee Bucks' future remains up in the air, but until further notice, Giannis Antetokounmpo remains on the team. That doesn't mean something can't happen before the February 5th trade deadline, but the Bucks are going to try to win games for as long as he's there with the team.

On Friday night, the Bucks continued their West Coast road trip down to Los Angeles to face the Lakers, who were looking to bounce back after a loss to the San Antonio Spurs. With both teams looking to avoid consecutive losses, Giannis led the Bucks to a major victory, making two clutch plays down the stretch when he didn't have the ball in his hands.

Giannis Saves The Game Twice

In back-to-back possessions, Giannis got a block on LeBron James, then sealed the victory with a steal on LeBron in the next possession. Kevin Porter Jr. would hit 4-of-5 free throws for the Bucks, as they walked away with a massive victory on the road against a top team.

After the game, head coach Doc Rivers gave high praise for Giannis, understanding that not many can do what his star can.

"It's why he's Giannis, really. He's got the ability to go to another level. That block at the rim was...him, Wemby, and we should stop. Really, that's it; that have the ability, the timing, and more importantly, have the awareness to recover and get back in that. So that was huge. Then the steal at the end," Rivers said.

Rivers went on to highlight that the Lakers were 13-0 entering the game in clutch situations, with the Bucks able to hand them their first loss. Additionally, he pointed out that Giannis' pressure on LeBron forced him to drive rather than shoot his patented step back, which he's hit countless times in his career in the clutch.

Giannis finished the game with 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and two steals. An impressive stat line, it wasn't even the best on the team. Porter Jr. ended with 22 points, six assists, five rebounds, four steals, and a block as he continues his strong season with Milwaukee.

It was a poor shooting night for Ryan Rollins, who scored 10 points but on 2-of-13 shooting from the field. The Bucks got some help from their bench, but their clutch plays late really made the difference.

Milwaukee will look to close out its road trip 3-1, as they'll face the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.
