This offseason, the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo are working together to find a trade partner and eventually part ways. Antetokounmpo initially requested a trade in late January, and since then has been working on a resolution with the Bucks. 

Giannis, 31, is coming off a season in which he played just 36 games. The Bucks held a record of 32-50 in a season in which he was not as present as he was in recent seasons. After multiple winning seasons, including an NBA Championship in 2021, the two sides seem to be going in different directions.

This season is Giannis' first time not being in the postseason since 2016. Recently, he was on a live stream with popular streamer Marlon, and he revealed who he thought had the most passionate fan bases. 

He mentioned to Marlon that Boston and Philadelphia are the 'craziest' arenas he has played in in his NBA career. Before that, he also mentioned that the New York Knicks had a passionate fan base as they were discussing the NBA Finals. 

Giannis pointed out that the Knicks have a big advantage when they play at home due to their unique atmosphere in Madison Square Garden. 

It has been reported in the past that Antetokounmpo prefers to be traded to a contender in the East, and these teams fit the criteria. 

The 76ers are coming off a season where they made it to the second round of the playoffs despite being only a play-in team. After drafting guard VJ Edgecombe, they saw immediate success, but if Philadelphia wants to make a move for Giannis, his name could certainly be involved in those negotiations. 

The Boston Celtics were the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference this year with a 56-26 record. In the playoffs, they did not make it out of the first round after losing to the 76ers. This season was unique for them as they missed Jayson Tatum for much of the season due to an Achilles injury he is trying to come back from. 

In the past, these two franchises have seen a good amount of success, and they have established winning identities. At this stage of his career, that is what Giannis is looking for. Both teams give him that stability in knowing he has a chance to compete for a championship. 

The Bucks still have time to find a suitor for an Antetokounmpo trade, and there's a chance Boston or Philadelphia will be his next home.
