Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered with an unbelievable game-winning turnaround jumper to down the Indiana Pacers on Monday.

Giannis Antetokounmpo did Giannis Antetokounmpo things on Monday night, burying a game-winning turnaround fadeaway jumper at the buzzer to give his Milwaukee Bucks a 117-115 win over the Indiana Pacers on the road.

Antetokounmpo willed the Bucks to the finish line with 33 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists, pushing them to 5-2 while also avenging a disappointing 135-133 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Saturday. Antetokounmpo made 14-of-21 attempts from the field in Monday’s win over Indiana, marking his fourth game in six appearances this year with at least 65 percent shooting.

Antetokounmpo took reporters inside his thought process leading up to his fateful buzzer

"I just wanted to make sure I take the last shot," Antetokounmpo said. "Like a possession or two before, I shot that shot and I was short. The only thing I was thinking about is just start your dribble at like six seconds, shoot it at like two or one seconds, and just shoot it long, which I did and it went in."

"It's instincts. Like, the moment I was spinning, I felt this guy coming, and I saw Myles (Turner) for like a split second underneath the basket, but I knew that it was one second I had to shoot the ball. So, I kind of got it in my hand, shot it long and went in."

The game-winner also provided Milwaukee with an important sentimental win, as the Bucks were able to beat a short-handed Pacers’ team in center Myles Turner’s initial return to Indiana after controversially leaving the Pacers for the Bucks this offseason. If Antetokounmpo’s timely shot on Monday is any indication, the growing rivalry between the two teams isn’t dying down.

In addition to Antetokounmpo’s heroics, the Bucks got another timely bench performance from forward Kyle Kuzma, who tallied 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting off the bench in addition to five rebounds. Kuzma praised Antetokounmpo’s ability to bail his team out after the game, but he wasn’t completely impressed with his team’s overall performance.

    Big Time Bailout

"I mean, he bailed us out for sure,” Kuzma said. “That was a hell of a shot. The way we played most of that game and down the stretch, we probably could have lost for sure. You know, just from execution, we had turnovers."

Milwaukee had 18 turnovers on the night to Indiana's 12, but Antetokounmpo kept his team in it regardless.

“Messed up a couple times in zone. I don't see how I can get to his right. But that's what good teams do. You find ugly wins and you take them. And that was a huge, huge shot by him, really saved us.”

The Bucks will look to continue the hot start when they travel up north Tuesday for the second leg of an unenviable road back-to-back. Milwaukee will return home for two games against the Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets to round out the week before embarking on another road back-to-back next week, this time against the Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets.

Tip-off for Tuesday’s game against the Raptors is set for 7:30 p.m. EST, and the game will be broadcast live on both teams’ regional broadcast networks. The Bucks don’t have another nationally televised game until Nov. 15, when they face the Cavaliers on NBA TV.
