The Milwaukee Bucks have struggled this season, currently the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference, as Giannis Antetokounmpo, battling injuries throughout the season, hasn't helped them at all. In the games he has played, the team is 15-15, but is just 6-14 when he's not on the court.

While the record has reflected poor play without their franchise great, they did just hit their first three-game winning streak of the season, defeating the Indiana Pacers on Friday to go 3-0 during their three-game home stand. Players all across the roster have stepped up, and they've made sure to execute late in the game.

Bucks Closing Out Teams Right

The last two games for the Bucks ended up going down to the wire, with an overtime win over the New Orleans Pelicans and a six-point victory over the Pacers. When asked about it after the game, Kevin Porter Jr. revealed one main reason why the team has had success in those situations as of late: not overreacting.

"Yeah, I mean, I think the main thing is we don't overreact. It's easy to when you've been up the whole game. They finally make a push, break the barrier, and they get it close or get it to eight. But, as long as we stay poised and continue to play through our actions, I think that's the biggest difference," Porter Jr. said.

Against the Pelicans, the Bucks actually were down seven points at halftime, and outscored the Pelicans by 11 points in the final two quarters and overtime. Versus the Pacers, Indiana made a strong comeback attempt in the fourth quarter after being down as many as 20 points, but the Bucks stayed focused on not letting go.

"We used to kind of feel bad if we missed shots or the other team [goes] on a run. Our energy kind of goes down, but our energy stayed there; we stayed poised, and we wanted it. So we figured it out, and we got the win, most importantly," he added.

Even though this team has been disappointing without Giannis, having just three wins without him before the recent three-game winning streak, they've developed significantly in recent weeks. Not only have players like Pete Nance emerged, but other players are starting to adapt to different roles and are starting to see success.

Giannis won't return till after the All-Star break, but if this team can be healthy down the stretch, they'll at least have a chance at making the play-in tournament and potentially making the postseason that way.
