Kyle Kuzma Gives Thoughts on 'Moral Victories' After Latest Loss cover image

The Milwaukee Bucks have had an up and down season. They currently sit at a 10-15 record and are still trying to find their identity without their star Giannis Antetokounmpo on the court while he's out with a calf strain.

Without Antetokounmpo, the Bucks have looked lost. Having such a dominant player on the court is a blessing in the sense that he can carry the team, but without him, an offense that's catered to his play style all season are suddenly spinning with a star to orbit around.

"We just need to find out identity and how we want to play, like our play style," Kyle Kuzma said (via Bucks). "With him [Antetokounmpo] out, obviously it's drastically different. You want to have four shooters around him at all times. With him out, it''s about trying to find what works best with this group now."

Bigger Adjustments Needed

The Bucks have shown flashes of brilliance at times, but it's never been often enough or consistent enough to maintain a sustained level of success, something that's crucial in the long march that is the NBA regular season.

While it can be beneficial to look for the good amongst the bad to find some hope as the season goes on, Kuzma would clearly prefer results over potential.

"I'm not the biggest 'moral victory' person, honestly. I think it's amazing that in the second half we can do good. Amazing that we can do pretty good for two-and-a-half quarters here, but, it's 48 minutes. You can only have so many moral victories before you can go black and white."

The Bucks may do little things right, but the biggest thing will always be results, and that hasn't been showing up at the end of games lately.

Time to Reset

Milwaukee may be coming off of two straight losses, but now they have an opportunity with four days off until their next game to reset as a team and try to find their footing again. The Bucks have enough talent as a team to pull it together and this time away from the game could be just what they need to come back to it strong.

"Resets are always good. We have a very passionate team. We all want to win. Even though we have bee losing, we do want to win," Kuzma said. "As a whole group, with coaching staff as well, I think it's good to have a little break, reset, reflection time. Because, in the season you don't have too much time to really reflect... It's a pivotal time for us. It's a sink or swim."
