The Milwaukee Bucks' suspertar has been diagnosed with a new injury, per a report from Shams Charania.

Giannis Antetokounmpo's injury luck this season has gone from bad, to worse, to even worse this season.

The Milwaukee Bucks star has already missed multiple weeks this season for two separate calf injuries, Antetokounmpo has been injured again just six games in to his return from his second calf strain of the season, one that sidelined him for over a month while the Bucks floundered in his absence.

Antetokounmpo has been diagnosed with left knee hyperextension on Tuesday, per ESPN's Shams Charania, and he'll be evaluated again in one week.

Antetokounmpo Diagnosed With Injury

Antetokounmpo left the Bucks' 134-123 win over the Indiana Pacers after just 23 minutes played Sunday, leaving behind a 31 point, 11-22 shooting performance. Antetokounmpo left the game in the third quarter after a dunk and did not return.

Milwaukee head coach Doc Rivers said after the Bucks' 123-116 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday that imaging revealed no structural damage to Antetokounmpo's knee, per a report by ESPN.

This season has been a deeply frustrating and chaotic one for Antetokounmpo on multiple fronts, but injuries have been the leading frustration. The Bucks' lackluster season has led to growing discontent from the Greek star than even fueled rumors that he would be traded away at the deadline, though that never happened.

Still, even though Antetokounmpo has remained with the team, he's often been vocal about his dissatisfaction with the team's results on the court and he's continued to give cryptic messages about what his future with Milwaukee holds.

What Do Antetokounmpo's Injuries Mean for His Future?

Among the issues with the on-court performance, Antetokounmpo's injuries have been keeping him off the court than ever before. He's played just 36 games so far this season and could miss another two games before he's evaluated again. He's on pace for career-low games in a season and his injuries represent a worrisome future.

Antetokounmpo is a player known for his physical dominance, able to take charge of the floor and overpower defenses with his size and strength. With so many injuries, especially lower leg injuries, Antetokounmpo could be at risk of losing some of that trademark physicality even as he recovers.

His last calf injury notably took longer for him to bounce back from than he expected, and while the timeline for this knee issue is only one week, everything is still up in the air at this point.

ESPN's report stated that Antetokounmpo doesn't believe this to be a season-ending injury, even with just 14 games left and the Bucks firmly out of playoff contention.
