Milwaukee Bucks vs. Charlotte Hornets Injury Report cover image

The Milwaukee Bucks host the Charlotte Hornets on Friday at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

The Charlotte Hornets travel to Milwaukee to take on the Milwaukee Bucks Friday. Both teams are looking to recover from losses and while there aren't any major updates to either team's injury, both stars on both sides have their statuses somewhat in question going into the matchup.

The Bucks have been playing much better since welcoming the return of Giannis Antetokounmpo, but that didn't stop Milwaukee from dropping a one-point heartbreaker to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.

Facing off against the Hornets, who have only had a slightly worse season than the Bucks at this point, represents a chance for the Bucks to get back on track before they have to embark on what will be a tough four-game road trip.

Bucks Injury Report

Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) is PROBABLE for Friday's game. The Bucks are being careful with their star forward after Antetokounmpo missed most of December with a calf strain and have been using a mix of minute restrictions and injury management rest days to keep him healthy, but he'll likely be activated against the Hornets.

Taurean Prince (neck) remains OUT while he recovers from surgery to repair a herniated disc in his neck. Prince hasn't played since Nov. 4 and the Bucks anticipate him being out for the season, as indicated by the fact that they applied for a Disabled Player Exemption for Prince in December.

Alex Antetokounmpo, Pete Nance and Mark Sears (two-way) are all OUT for Friday's game as they are with the Wisconsin Herd, Milwaukee's G-League affiliate.

Hornets Injury Report

Miles Bridges (ankle) is PROBABLE for Friday's game. Bridges missed the Hornets' last game against the Golden State Warriors on Dec. 31 due to a sprained right ankle.

Moussa Diabate (wrist) is QUESTIONABLE for Friday's game due to a sprained right wrist. Charlotte's contest against Milwaukee is the first of back-to-back games, which could influence the Hornets' decision to keep Diabate sidelined on Friday.

Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) is OUT with a left elbow sprain. It will be the sixth-straight game that Kalkbrenner will miss due to the injury.

Mason Plumlee (groin) remains OUT for Friday's game while he continues to recover from surgery. Plumlee hasn't played since Dec. 22 due to a right groin injury and the Hornets recently announced that Plumlee underwent surgery to repair the injury and is expected to be out for at least six weeks.

Grant Williams (knee) remains OUT while he recovers from a December 2024 surgery to repair both a torn meniscus and torn ACL in his right knee, injuries he suffered playing against the Bucks Nov. 23, 2024. There is currently no timeline for his return.
