The Milwaukee Bucks were the team everyone around the league had their focus circled in on during the trade deadline period, with many hoping that they'd part ways with two-time MVP and franchise legend Giannis Antetokounmpo. Despite the Minnesota Timberwolves and Miami Heat making a push, they held put.

In the end, the only move the Bucks made was trading away Cole Anthony and Amir Coffey in exchange for Ousmane Dieng and Nigel Hayes-Davis, but waived Hayes-Davis shortly thereafter. There's no telling if Giannis will be moved by the offseason, but it certainly brought relief to the team.

Ryan Rollins Talks Trade Deadline

After the Bucks defeated the Indiana Pacers on Friday to secure their first three-game winning streak of the season, breakout guard Ryan Rollins was asked about the team's emotions after the trade deadline passed.

"I would assume so for everybody, probably just a little weight off their back. You know, just the pressure and uncertainty of what was going to happen. I'm glad most everybody, I'm sad to see my guy Cole [Anthony] and Amir [Coffey] leave for sure, but majority of the team still here," Rollins said.

From a locker room perspective, it might've been tough losing Anthony and Coffey, but neither did too much on the court this season for Milwaukee, especially with the play of Rollins and Kevin Porter Jr.

"I feel like we got a great camaraderie, great group. So, we got a lot of season left, so I think we can do a lot of good things for sure," he added.

The Bucks are two games back of the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference entering Saturday's NBA slate. It'll be hard for them to close the gap much in the next few games, but that could change significantly once Giannis Antetokounmpo returns from injury sometime after the All-Star break.

If the Bucks are going to make a surge, they'll need everything they can get from Porter Jr. and Rollins. Both players are averaging around 17 points per game, with Porter Jr. leading the way as the playmaker, with Rollins shooting 40.8% from beyond the arc this season.

With other players starting to emerge on the team, like Pete Nance and Kyle Kuzma taking on a different role, the Bucks might be in a better situation than the one Giannis left once he went down with injury.

The Bucks return to action on Monday, kicking off a two-game series on the road against Orlando, then closing out this half of the season against the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road.
