Two Key Milwaukee Bucks Players Appear On Injury Report vs San Antonio Spurs cover image

A pair of key rotation players for the Milwaukee Bucks appear on the injury report before Thursday's contest vs San Antonio Spurs.

The Milwaukee Bucks head into Thursday night's contest against the San Antonio Spurs in a rough spot, coming off a pair of rough losses and being just 3-3 since the start of the new year. Whether the offense, defense, or both is to blame, the Bucks won't have time to make many adjustments for their contests ahead of them.

Even though San Antonio ranks near the top of the Western Conference, they enter Thursday's contest just 3-4 to begin 2026 and have been losers in their past two contests. With both sides motivated to end their losing ways, the Bucks could be in trouble with a pair of key players listed on the injury report.

Bucks Injury Report

Two names remain constant on the Milwaukee Bucks' injury report, with Alex Antetokounmpo (two-way) and Taurean Prince (neck) ruled OUT for Thursday's contest. Alex has yet to log a minute this season with the Bucks, while Prince last appeared on November 4th and likely won't play again this season.

The other two names on the injury report are prominent, starting with forward Kyle Kuzma, who is listed as QUESTIONABLE with an illness.

Kuzma has appeared in all but two games this season and has been efficient through six games to begin 2026, averaging 10.0 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 53.3% from the field and 43.8% from three-point range.

The other name listed is Giannis Antetokounmpo, as the two-time MVP is listed as PROBABLE with a left ankle sprain. Giannis has missed time this season in two separate stretches, but has played in the last nine games for the Bucks, averaging 29.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists on 66.7% shooting from the field.

Spurs Injury Report

Taking a look at the Spurs' injury report, it's rather clean, with all of their two-way players, Harrison Ingram, David Jones Garcia, and Stanley Umude, ruled OUT.

In addition, Spurs guard Devin Vassell remains OUT with an adductor strain, extending his absence to nine-straight contests.

Game Preview

While there was plenty of chatter around the NBA and hopeful rumors that Giannis could end up with the Spurs, the Bucks will play in San Antonio tonight with him and not against him.

Even though it's been a rough start to 2026 for the Spurs, San Antonio still has the better scoring offense, scoring defense, and averages six more rebounds per game than the Bucks.

If Milwaukee wants to have a chance in this game, they'll need Giannis available and to be a primary defender on Victor Wembanyama, as well as having their guards, Kevin Porter Jr. and Ryan Rollins, be serious scoring threats throughout the game.

Tip-off at the Frost Bank Center is set for 8:00 p.m. EST.
