Most Likely Bucks Player to Be Traded During 2026-27 Season

This offseason, the Milwaukee Bucks front office decided it was time for a complete reset and chose to make a franchise altering move, trading away former Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. 

Because of this move, the Bucks will see multiple new faces this season as they will continue to evaluate who will be a long-term piece for the team and who will not be. One new addition the Bucks traded for this offseason is former Detroit Pistons guard Caris LeVert. 

On July 7, the Pistons traded LeVert and two 2027 second-round to Milwaukee in exchange for Gary Harris and Taurean Prince. Caris LeVert is a 10-year NBA veteran who has seen success in multiple different roles in the league, and he could find his way onto a new roster before the conclusion of the season. 

LeVert is the kind of player contending NBA teams look for when they are trying to bolster their offensive attack, especially come playoff time. He is known to be a volume shooter throughout his career, and from three-point range, he has a career 34.4 shooting percentage. 

He's also not known for being a player who can play on both ends, but he's capable of getting the job done defensively.

Last season, LeVert was a member of a Pistons team that was one of the best defensive teams on the perimeter, and while he was not a top defender on that team, the Pistons did a good job of hiding that, and his offensive skills made up for the potential defensive lapses. 

A team like the Boston Celtics could go after a player like LeVert if they feel like their backcourt off the bench needs an offensive lift. LeVert is already used to being a player who has bounced around between multiple different playoff teams. 

LeVert's experience makes him a potential target for any of the contending teams in the NBA, and it could bode well for the Bucks as they're a team who's been garnering assets all summer. 

The main factor that will determine whether or not the Bucks will keep Caris LeVert is how well they're doing in the season up to the trade deadline. If the Bucks are sellers come February, LeVert is clearly one of the pieces that will likely get moved, but if they're a surprise team, having him could help out a young and inexperienced backcourt. 

The Bucks have options on what to do with the 10-year veteran and they have a lot of leverage with Caris LeVert.
