Comparing The Bulls to the TrailBlazers
New Head Coach Tiago Splitter has come over from Portland, and the rosters honestly couldn’t be more different for the most part. At the point guard slot the Bulls are rocking Josh Giddey, a big guard with elite playmaking skills. Portland rolled out Jrue Holiday, a two way point guard who’s game has been more off the ball lately. The shooting guard was a rotating wheel for Portland, and I think Scoot Henderson was probably their most effective option at that slot. The Bulls are rock Powell, who is more of an elite off ball scoring compared to Henderson’s on ball scoring. The Bulls simply don’t have a Deni Avdija on roster. If Matas Buzelis continues to grow physically and play more on ball then maybe he can get there. The center position is where I think the Bulls and Blazers have some similarities. Claxton has a few similar traits to Robert Williams, and Zach Collins can kinda stretch the floor in ways that Clingan was able to do last year. Let us know how you think Tiago will run the offense/defensive schemes in similar and different ways to how he did in Portland with a vastly different personnel.
