2026: White Sox (? — first No. 1 since 1977)
2024: Blackhawks (Connor Bedard — first since 2007)
2024: Bears (Caleb Williams, from Panthers trade — first No. 1 since 1947)
2023: Bears (Traded to Panthers)
The Bulls last picked first in 2008, when they selected Derrick Rose, and also drafted Elton Brand No. 1 overall in 1999.
Currently, the Bulls have the 11th-best odds to win the NBA Draft Lottery. That's not great, but the last few winners haven't had top odds either. The Mavericks had the 11th-best odds last year before landing Cooper Flagg, and the Hawks had the 9th-best odds in 2024 before selecting Zaccharie Risacher.
The Bulls may not even have to tank in order to land one of Cam Boozer, AJ Dybantsa or Darryn Peterson!
