The Chicago Bulls are 4-0 for the first time since the 2021-22 season.

It didn't always look certain, but the Chicago Bulls are 4-0 to start the 2025-26 season. One of four NBA teams without a loss, the Bulls kept their record unblemished on Wednesday with a 126-113 win over the Kings.

Rising star Matas Buzelis went off for a season-high 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting and 4-of-6 from three. Josh Giddey finished with a near triple-double of 20 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds, while Kevin Huerter added 18 points off the bench.

Chicago's win spoiled the homecoming for Zach LaVine, who spent seven-and-a-half seasons in the Windy City. The star guard led Sacramento with 30 points on 12-of-19 from the field as the Kings fell to 1-4 on the year.

Even without starting guard Coby White, the Bulls are 4-0 for the first time since 2021-22 and just the second time since 1996-97.

The Bulls attacked Sacramento's interior early, taking seven of their first 10 shots at the rim. Buzelis led the charge with eight quick points, giving his team a 17-12 lead through five minutes. Chicago held as much as a 12-point advantage, but bench unit struggles resulted in the Kings pulling within three at the end of the first quarter.

Those struggles persisted, even when Chicago's starters returned. Behind LaVine's 16 first-half points, the Kings gashed the Bulls in the paint, rendering them lifeless for much of the second period. Billy Donovan's squad found a pulse with a 9-0 run over the final 79 seconds of the half, led by Giddey's transition passing, as the Bulls cut the deficit to two at the break.

Chicago's late momentum carried into the second half, and a pair of Buzelis threes kicked off a 39-point quarter for the team. The third-period Bulls were much more reminiscent of their start to the game, as they shot 65.4% from the field.

After opening up the lead to 17 in the fourth, Chicago held on to finish off the 13-point victory. The Bulls will look to remain undefeated on Friday against the New York Knicks, in a game that begins the midseason NBA Cup tournament.
