The Chicago Bulls take on the Milwaukee Bucks in their penultimate preseason game.

The Chicago Bulls take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night in their penultimate preseason game. Chicago comes in with a preseason record of 1-2. The important thing is that the Bulls pair of 2026 NBA Draft picks, Caleb Wilson (No .4 overall) and Dailyn Swain (No. 15 overall) have performed admirably, more so in Wilson's case.

Through three preseason games, Wilson is averaging 17.7 PPG on a 28% usage rate. He is looking like every bit of the No. 1 scoring option he was expected to be coming out of North Carolina. He has went through the normal, NBA rookie efficiency struggles, possessing a 54% True Shooting Percentage over his three preseason contests.

Bulls No. 15 overall pick Dailyn Swain's presence has been more muted than Wilson, but still a big step up from his catostrophic NBA Summer League perforamnce in Las Vegas.

This preseason, Swain is averaging 4.0 APG in just over 18 minutes per game. The 6-foot-8 wing is flashing the ball-handlign and playmaking potential that likely made Bulls Vice President of Basketball Operations Bryson Graham interested in him in the first place.

We've yet to see a strong scoring performance from Swain, but he seems to be building positive momentum, which is all you can ask for from a rookie at this stage of their career.

Outside of the Bulls' youngsters, the biggest storyline--no pun intended--is the Bulls lack of center options with the absences of Zach Collins and presumable starter Nic Claxton.

Jalen Smith--who is not on the injury report for tonight's matchup--has been banged up as well, leaving Two-Way contract center Tobe Awaka as the last man standing.

Awaka has averaged the third-most minutes per game on the team this preseason as a result of all the injuries in the frontcourt. A recent report from K.C. Johnson indicated that Claxton could be out for "awhile." This means keeping Awaka prepared for minutes with the parent club will be of the utmost importance as Tiago Splitter navigates creating a feasible center rotation.
