It's a massive night at the United Center on Saturday, as Chicago Bulls icon Derrick Rose is set to have his No. 1 jersey retired.
Chicago is searching for its fourth consecutive victory, which would put the Bulls above a .500 record for the first time since Nov. 24. They'll have to go through Boston, attempting to win its third straight game and fifth out of the last six. The Celtics are currently the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference despite the absence of All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum.
Rose's jersey retirement ceremony will take place 20 minutes after the conclusion of Bulls-Celtics. The Chicago native spent eight years with the Bulls from 2008 to 2016, earning three All-Star nods and the 2011 MVP award.
At his peak, Rose was one of the best athletes to suit up in red and black. He averaged 25.0 points, 7.7 assists, 4.1 rebounds and one steal per game during his MVP season.
