The Chicago Bulls head into Saturday night's matchup looking to bounce back after losing three-straight games. Saturday will mark the Bulls second straight game against the Heat, with a third matchup coming on Sunday. The NBA had to reschedule a Bulls-Heat game from January 8th, 2026 at the United Center due to unsafe court condensation. That game was rescheduled to January 29th, and thusly created the unique 3-game Bulls-Heat mini-series.

The Bulls lost the first game of this three-game series, with Coby White unable to hit a potential game-tying 3-pointer as time expired. It was a decent look for White of an ATO play from Billy Donovan, but White had a rough shooting night overall at 2-11 (2-8 3-PT). White did find success from the FT line, going 8-10. His fearless attitude driving into the teeth of Miami's physical defense will be needed on Saturday for what will be a very shorthanded Bulls team.

As of now, it looks like Chicago will be without starting center Nikola Vucevic, who is doubtful for rest purposes. The Bulls will also be without Jalen Smith (calf) and Zach Collins, leaving Chicago essentially without centers in their rotation. Donovan likes to play small, but this will be an extreme version of small ball, and it will be quite interesting to see how Donovan builds the rotation for this version of the team.

Miami will have some injury woes of their own, still without Tyler Herro, and now they will be without Norman Powell, who dropped 21 points in 30 minutes in Miami's three-point win on Thursday. Without Herro and Powell, Miami will be looking from an uptick in scoring from Bam Adebayo, who had 20 points but struggled from the field (7-19) in the Heat win on Thursday. Miami will also be looking for a big night from their bench unit, including Jaime Jacquez Jr. He was aggressive off the bench in the last Bulls-Heat matchup, notching 19 points on 8-13 shooting over 32 minutes. It is possible the young forward earned a starting nod in Saturday night's game.
