The Bulls are looking to win their second in a row

The Chicago Bulls head to Houston on Tuesday night to face the Rockets at Toyota Center, with tipoff set for 7 p.m. CT. Chicago enters the matchup sitting 10th in the Eastern Conference at 18-20, while Houston holds the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 22-14 record.

Houston returns home looking to regroup after a disappointing road trip, in which it lost all three games, despite being favored in each contest. The Rockets have been a dominant 11-2 at the Toyota Center this season, compared to an 11-12 mark on the road. That home-court advantage could be crucial as Houston looks to get back on track.

The Bulls, riding momentum after beating the Dallas Mavericks, will look to extend that success against a Rockets team that has recently struggled on offense. Chicago enters as a heavy 13-point underdog, but Houston’s recent inconsistency could open the door for a competitive matchup. Rockets coach Ime Udoka expressed visible frustration with his team’s offensive execution following a loss to Portland, highlighting an area the Bulls may look to exploit.

Kevin Durant remains the centerpiece of Houston’s offense and has been playing at a high level. Over his last six games, Durant is averaging 28.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.2 blocks while shooting over 50% from the field. His ability to score at all three levels and command defensive attention has been critical. Expect Houston to lean heavily on Durant to set the tone early and stabilize the offense.

For Chicago, Ayo Dosunmu has been a major bright spot off the bench. Over the past five games, Dosunmu is averaging 18.4 points while shooting 62.1% from the field, 58.3% from deep, and 85% from the free-throw line. His energy and efficiency have provided a much-needed spark for the Bulls.

Despite the gap in records and availability, Chicago will aim to stay competitive by controlling tempo and limiting turnovers. If the Bulls can sustain their bench production and disrupt Houston’s rhythm, they may have an opportunity to challenge a Rockets team eager to respond at home.
