As the Bulls' season of ups and downs continues, Chicago will look to bounce back on Monday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Bulls recently had a five-game winning streak snapped by the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, denying them the opportunity to break .500 for the first time in over a month. Billy Donovan's team has had two five-game winning streaks this season, as well as a five-game and seven-game losing streak. Now, the Bulls currently rank ninth in the Eastern Conference with a 15-16 record.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves' 20-12 record places them sixth in the Western Conference, although they've dropped their last two contests. Minnesota rallied from a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter to send the Nuggets to overtime on Christmas Day, but ultimately fell amid Nikola Jokic's stellar performance.
Two days later, the Wolves lost by 16 to the lowly Brooklyn Nets. Minnesota had won 10 of its last 12 prior to its ongoing skid.
Former No. 1 overall pick (2020) Anthony Edwards leads the Timberwolves in his sixth season. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is averaging a career-high 29.3 points per game, as well as 5.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Edwards has been named an All-Star in each of the past three seasons and was a member of the All-NBA Second Team in 2023-24 and 2024-25.
With both teams coming off a loss, the Bulls and Timberwolves will attempt to get back on track and build momentum before the new years. Here's how you can watch Chicago and Minnesota face off on Monday night:
