The Chicago Bulls are set to wrap up their preseason slate on Friday night, when the Minnesota Timberwolves come to town.

Tiago Splitter's squad is 2-2 through four preseason games, having beaten the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks, but lost to the Memphis Grizzlies and the Denver Nuggets. The Timberwolves are 3-2 and expected to sit their usual starters. Former Bull and Chicago native Ayo Dosunmu, who was traded to Minnesota last season, did not make the trip.

Despite the Wolves running a mostly backup lineup, Splitter anticipates playing his starters for much of the first half. During his pregame press conference on Friday, Chicago's first-year head coach said that live game action provides experience that practice cannot replicate. Of the expected starters, only center Nic Claxton — who has yet to play in the preseason with a hamstring injury — is inactive against the Wolves.

Splitter said Claxton will be "for sure" out when the Bulls face the Raptors to begin the regular season on Oct. 21.

Big man Zach Collins (quad) will also be out for his fifth preseason game, although Splitter said the veteran center will aim to be a 100% participant in Saturday's practice. Rookie forward Tobe Awaka (knee) and wing Isaac Okoro (knee) will both be inactive as well.

Leonard Miller is leading the Bulls in scoring this preseason by averaging 17.5 points per game. Chicago acquired Miller in last season's Dosunmu trade. No. 4 overall pick Caleb Wilson is averaging 15.8 points per game.
