Fresh off earning their first win of the season, the Chicago Bulls are set to host the Washington Wizards in their home opener on Saturday night.

The Bulls defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 132-125, on Friday afternoon to secure Tiago Splitter's first regular season victory as Chicago's head coach. Norman Powell scored 25 points to lead the Bulls, while Caleb Wilson put together a well-rounded performance with 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting, six rebounds, two blocks and a steal.

Saturday's primetime matchup was supposed to be headlined by two of the top draft picks from this past summer. However, Wizards forward AJ Dybantsa — the No. 1 overall selection — will miss his third consecutive game to start the season with a left ankle sprain. Dybantsa is the only player among the top-three draft picks that Wilson — the No. 4 overall pick — did not face while at North Carolina.

The Wizards are similarly 1-1, defeating the Bucks in their season opener before losing to the Toronto Raptors on Friday. Washington's two leading scorers were acquired last season and are looking to lead the team out of its residence at the bottom of the league. Forward Anthony Davis is averaging 21.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game to lead the Wizards, while Trae Young is averaging 21.0 points, 12.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
