The Bulls cut a 19-point deficit to just three in the second half, but went ice-cold in the fourth quarter.

The Bulls' early-season nightmare continued on Friday as Chicago dropped its sixth consecutive game and 12th in its last 15. Indiana didn't need a Pascal Siakam buzzer-beater this time as the Pacers defeated the Bulls, 120-105.

Chicago fell to 9-13 with the loss, while Indiana advanced to 5-18 after taking the Bulls down for the second time in four games.

Siakam, whose game-winner last Saturday beat the Bulls in Indianapolis, led the way with 36 points and nine rebounds. Bennedict Mathurin contributed 28 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block to continue his breakout campaign.

Coby White was the driving force of Chicago's offense, scoring 22 in his first game back after a three-game absence. Matas Buzelis posted a 19-point, 12-rebound double-double, while Josh Giddey ended with nine points, seven rebounds and six assists.

The Pacers finished with 22 points off 19 Chicago turnovers. They also outscored the Bulls in the paint, 44-36.

Indiana had no answer for Buzelis in the early going. The sophomore forward announced his presence with a one-handed jam, then used his physicality to draw six free throw attempts.

When Buzelis sat down for a breather, the Pacers took advantage with a quick 9-2 run. Mathurin drilled a stepback three over Giddey to tie the game at 21, but the Bulls caught fire with triples from Jevon Carter, Zach Collins and Patrick Williams before the end of the first. Mathurin swiped the ball away from White with the first quarter clock winding down, and his fastbreak layup made the score 33-30 in favor of Chicago after one.

Siakam scored seven of the Pacers' first nine points to start the second and regain the lead for Indiana. Both teams alternated blows until an 11-2 Indiana run surged the visitors ahead. White's efforts didn't let the game get out of hand, though, and the guard converted on an acrobatic layup to cap off 10 second-quarter points. Ethan Thompson and Giddey traded threes to give Indiana a 62-57 advantage at the half.

The Pacers were firing on all cylinders coming out of the break, as Mathurin and Siakam combined for 13 points en route to a 15-2 run to begin the third. Billy Donovan's timeout only slowed the bleeding instead of stopping it, and Indiana built its lead to as large as 19.

White willed his team back into the game, bringing the deficit back within three. But the Pacers managed to maintain a nine-point lead heading into the final quarter.

Ultimately, the Bulls couldn't find consistent offense in the fourth, shooting just 30% (6-of-20) from the field. Siakam closed out Chicago's sixth consecutive defeat with a pair of threes to bring his total to 36 points.

Chicago will host the Golden State Warriors on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. CT.
