Just over three weeks before the Chicago Bulls are slated to begin preseason action, head coach Tiago Splitter has officially finalized his staff for his first year at the helm.
Splitter's group is a combination of new faces from around the league and holdovers from Billy Donovan's prior staff. Former Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. headlines the group as the lone returning assistant coach from Donovan's tenure, while most of the remaining staffers are in the player development department.
Here's everything you need to know about the members of Splitter's 15-man staff of assistants:
Wes Unseld Jr: Assistant Coach
Unseld Jr. is entering his third season with the Bulls after serving as Donovan's top assistant. He was a finalist for Chicago's head coaching vacancy before Splitter landed the job and filled in for Donovan for a single game this past February. Prior to joining the Bulls, Unseld compiled a 77-130 record over three seasons as the head coach of the Washington Wizards.

Jamelle McMillan: Assistant Coach
The son of longtime NBA coach Nate McMillan, Jamelle McMillan has spent the last three seasons in the Pistons' organization. He was an assistant coach and player development coach for Detroit while leading the franchise's G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise.

Kalamian has been an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks for the last three years and has worked in the NBA since 1995. He is also the head coach of the Armenian National Team.

Taj Gibson: Assistant Coach
Former Bulls forward Taj Gibson is returning to the city that drafted him. After retiring as a player on Monday, the 41-year-old now has his first major coaching opportunity in Chicago, where he played seven-and-a-half seasons.

Rancik's new role is a promotion from his previous one.
Jordan Brink: Assistant Coach/Director of Player Development
Jordan Brink comes to Chicago after helping the New York Knicks win the 2026 NBA Finals as an assistant coach. He is widely regarded as one of the rising stars in the coaching ranks and garnered major praise from Knicks head coach Mike Brown during this postseason.
