The Chicago Bulls have officially signed veteran wing Kevin Knox, bringing him aboard as the likely 19th man on the roster, per Michael Scotto of HoopHype. The deal, believed to be a minimum contract or similar low-risk addition, gives the Bulls extra depth at a position already crowded — but also adds a veteran presence with upside.

Knox was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Kentucky, and his career has since included stops in New York, Atlanta, Detroit, Portland, and, most recently, Golden State. In 2024-25 with the Warriors, Knox appeared in 14 regular-season games, averaging 3.3 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in roughly 6.0 minutes per game, while shooting 50.0% from the field.

Off the NBA court, Knox has more impressive G League numbers: in the Santa Cruz Warriors, he dominated with averages of 25.3 points and 8.8 rebounds, showing he still has the NBA potential to demand opportunities. That performance helped earn him the 10-day contracts and eventual retained spot with Golden State late in the season.

In Chicago, Knox’s role will probably be limited to the tail end of the bench and potential two-way or G League assignments, especially given how packed the Bulls are at wing (Matas Buzelis, Noa Essengue, Kevin Huerter, Isaac Okoro, among others). Yet that doesn’t mean there is no path. If he can show defensive effort, reliable three-point shooting, or energy that all fit Billy Donovan's philosophy, he could force coaches’ hands midseason.

In short, Knox is a low-risk, high-reward bet for Chicago. He brings experience, length, and scoring credentials that could play well in the Windy City Bulls' rotation, and the Bulls now have one more option in their well-stocked wing stable to call on when injuries or matchups demand it.
