The Chicago Bulls' high scoring forward was joined by Caleb Wilson, his brother Vince, and a host of others.
The South Side Pro Run took place on Thursday at Wendell Phillips Academy in Chicago giving Bulls stars Matas Buzelis and Caleb Wilson a chance to hone their freelance hoops skills alongside high level, albeit not entirely NBA level, competition.
Footage appeared on social media throughout the week as Buzelis and Wilson joined forces with unlikely teammates, some of whom are just now making a name for themselves and some of whom are more well known.
Buzelis brought a special guest with him to the week's festivities: his brother and University of South Dakota Coyotes freshman Vince Buzelis, a Division-1 college basketball player who joined the action alongside his famous brother.
Buzelis Brothers Turn Heads at Pro Run
Matas Buzelis is 21 years old and on the verge of what could be his 2026-27 coming out party as a true star in the National Basketball Association.
Buzelis will turn 22 in October but still has a lifetime of professional basketball ahead of him and a work ethic to match some of the game's biggest stars.
The Bulls star revealed this week that he has been practicing with Dirk Nowitzki and would like to work with another NBA star.
He hit the gym this week for some runs with his brother, and the results were head turning.
"Matas Buzelis brought his new teammate Caleb Wilson and little bro Vince (USD) to the South Side pro run so he had to show out," videographer and reporter Scott Comeau from BallisLife wrote while also sharing video of the runs.
Matas Buzelis went shirtless during the games and looked like the most polished, if not the best, player in the gym.
Wilson Shows Off Growing Skills
Wilson also showed out at the event, playing at a gear or two lower than his time in the NBA's Summer League.
His effectiveness was on full display as he showed off an array of drives, passes, dunks and mid-range shots much to the delight of those in attendance.
Wilson is quickly becoming a fan favorite among Chicago Bulls fans before setting foot on an NBA regular season court and with his impressive skillset it's easy to see why.
Ex-NBA, UCF Center Tacko Fall Joins Runs
Former NBA and Central Florida center Tacko Fall was also on hand according to Comeau, who shared highlights of the monstrous former Golden Knight dominating at both ends of the court in South Side runs.
Comeau mused as to whether or not the former UCF star might make a return to the NBA soon.
At 7-foot-6, Fall has the size to battle NBA giants like Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren but whether or not he has the foot speed to make it in the league remains to be seen.
Fall has most recently played for the Ningbo Rockets in China and the New Zealand Breakers.
The Bulls are lacking in front court size, but Fall doesn't figure to be in their plans unless something drastic changes.
