Rookie Caleb Wilson was the story of the Chicago Bulls' Summer League team as the former North Carolina freshman sensation turned heads in Las Vegas. 

Wilson showed maturity and tenacity beyond his years, silencing doubters while staking his claim as a preseason rookie of the year favorite. 

This past Saturday Tracy McGrady, who was previously compared to Wilson by NBA commentator Bill Simmons, took to his 'Cousins' podcast to share words of praise for Wilson's Summer League performance.

'T-Mac' had one major question about Wilson heading into Summer League, one that he answered emphatically according to the former Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets star.

McGrady revealed the biggest question he had regarding Wilson heading into Summer League: shooting.

"Kid is talented, there's no question about that," McGrady said. "He has to be able to shoot the ball, that's my question about him. Can he shoot?

"Well, Summer League game, I think it was first one, he hit seven threes. Once I see that very thing that I questioned you about and you worked on it and I see there is some consistency with that? 

"Oh yeah, he is going to be a problem," McGrady said.  

McGrady indicated that Wilson has a strong and ferocious mentality as he continued to share his thoughts on the Bulls rookie's Summer League set. 

"He has the mentality and I think he has a hit list that he's going to check off during his rookie season."

Vince Carter, McGrady's cousin and a fellow NBA legend from his playing days, also chimed in.

"He has some of that KG (Kevin Garnett) in him, he can self-motivate himself, he wants to make a statement right now," Carter, himself a fellow North Carolina alumnus, said. 

One commenter responded that Wilson "needs a cool nickname," the giving of which is a job usually reserved for late Bulls analyst Stacey King. 

The nickname situation, and the shooting efficiency, will be two areas to keep an eye on as the Bulls continue their march back to the top of the Eastern Conference.
