The Chicago Bulls are one of the NBA's youngest teams heading into fall's regular season, a distinction that could portend future success à la the Oklahoma City Thunder or lead to plenty of growing pains for coach Tiago Splitter's team.
Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson recently made the NBA's All-Summer League Team and also played at a Pro Am alongside fellow star Matas Buzelis on Thursday.
Buzelis and Wilson are hoping to recapture the magic of the Bulls' former championship glory as dynamic two-way players this coming season and beyond.
Bulls legend Scottie Pippen shared his thoughts on Wilson Friday, a vote of confidence for the North Carolina trained rookie.

Pippen: Wilson a 'Special Player'
Pippen did not hesitate to give his thoughts on Wilson after being asked by 247Sports writer Zach Pearson.
His excitement for the Wilson era was palpable as he shared his take.
"Last one, any early impressions of Caleb Wilson, Bulls rookie?" Pearson asked.
"Aw, special player, uh, is very and (has a) young future...Looking forward to watching him grow and develop," Pippen said.
Pippen helped lead Chicago to six NBA championships alongside coach Phil Jackson, guard Michael Jordan, and a rotating cast of supporting players including Luc Longley, Toni Kukoc, Steve Kerr, Horace Grant and several others.
Wilson's NBA readiness has become a hot topic throughout NBA circles, but his supporting cast will ultimately make or break his first season in Chi-Town.
Bulls' Training Camp Fast Approaching
Wilson and Buzelis have a little over two months to get ready for the Bulls' training camp which is scheduled to begin on Sept. 29 at the Advocate Center in Chicago.
The preseason will follow in October leading up to the Bulls' regular season opener on Oct. 22 at the United Center in Chicago against the defending Eastern Conference regular season champion Detroit Pistons.
The Pistons followed a similar blueprint to the vintage Bulls by loading up on dynamic two-way guards and forwards including Cade Cunningham, Ron Holland, Ausar Thompson and others in their quest to become a contender.
Chicago has Wilson and Buzelis in the fold and is hoping for improved play from a cast of many including rookie forward Dailyn Swain, guard Norman Powell, guard Rob Dillingham, guard Tre Jones and others.
The message being sent by the Bulls' front office is loud and clear: athleticism and a strength-in-numbers approach are being prioritized again, along with youth.
It's a formula that has worked throughout the last few decades and one that will include a player in Wilson that many believe is hands down the best rookie in the East this season, and possibly the entire NBA.
