19 years old Luigi Suigo is the Italian Unicorn — and he might be the best value pick the Bulls can make in the second round.

While most of the focus for Chicago Bulls fans understandably is on what they will do with their first two picks in the NBA Draft, it is their second round pick that has a chance to expedite the rebuilding process. When the Chicago Bulls step to the podium for pick No. 38 in the 2026 NBA Draft, they may have an opportunity to land one of the most intriguing big men available in Luigi Suigo.

Suigo is a 19-year old Italian center currently playing for the Mega Basket in the Serbian ABA League. He started playing basketball at just five years old and has cited James Harden as an early idol.

Let's begin with discussing what make's Suigo such an intriguing prospect: the body. At the 2026 NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, Suigo measured in just under 7-foot-3 inches without shoes. That made him the second tallest player registered at the Combine this year, only behind Michigan's Aday Mara who is a quarter-inch taller and is projected to be a potential top-10 pick in the draft. His wingspan came in at a staggering 7-foot-5 inches, ranking in the top three in the combine as well. His standing reach is 9 feet, 6 inches and he weighed in at 289 pounds.

To put this into perspective, analysts have compared his size profile to former NBA All-star Kristaps Porzingis, whose unofficial measurements align almost exactly with Suigo's. And with Luigi Suigo still being only 19 years old, there's every reason to believe his body can continue to develop once he gets under the direction of a professional NBA training regime.

There's more to like about Suigo than just his size however. In fact, the most tantalizing aspect of Suigo is that his game does not necessarily depict someone of his profile. Suigo plays like a 7-foot-3 wing trapped in a big man's body. In the ABA League last season, he averaged 8.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game on 56.4% shooting from the field.

On the defensive side, his aforementioned wingspan is his greatest asset. He can alter shots with timing and basketball IQ which translates much better than someone who is able to block shots purely on athleticism. Suigo's abilities can project better as he gets older and inevitably loses athleticism.

As for where Suigo will go in the draft, it seems there is a consensus second-round projection for him, but with first-round upside. Draft analysts Jeremy Woo of ESPN and Cyro Asseo of HoopsHype both project him right in the 36-39 range where the Bulls currently sit. Speaking to Suigo's upside however, Kevin O'Connor of Yahoo has him going as high as No. 24 to the New York Knicks.

There is no promise that Luigi Suigo will ultimately stay in the draft, there have been rumors that if he is not guaranteed a first round grade that he will play basketball at the collegiate level. But, if he does decide he thinks he is ready to test himself against the best in the world, the Chicago Bulls could be a great landing spot. A 19-year-old, 7-foot-3 stretch-five with a shooting touch and high basketball IQ does not come around often. For Bryson Graham, Suigo could be an intriguing piece in a search for long-term answers in the front court.
