

Even though they ultimately had a better percentage than New York, the Cavs did not shoot well as a team the entire game. Despite this, Mitchell still scored 38 points while shooting 14-for-30 from the floor. He led the team in scoring and was a big reason that Cleveland kept it close, especially toward the end.
After the game, Mitchell took ownership of the loss.

Cleveland as a team simply needs to shoot better. They shot 32 percent from behind the arc and were 1-for-8 in the first quarter. Digging yourself into a hole like that is awfully tough to overcome in the postseason.
There is still a lot of series left to be played in this one. The Cavs and Knicks will face off in Game 2 on Tuesday in downtown Cleveland.
