Donovan Mitchell says that the Cleveland Cavaliers will "be good" after they lose to the Knicks in Game 1.

This series didn't get started the way the Cleveland Cavaliers or Donovan Mitchell would've liked it to after they lost game one to the New York Knicks.

Even though they ultimately had a better percentage than New York, the Cavs did not shoot well as a team the entire game. Despite this, Mitchell still scored 38 points while shooting 14-for-30 from the floor. He led the team in scoring and was a big reason that Cleveland kept it close, especially toward the end.

After the game, Mitchell took ownership of the loss.

It starts with myself. I hold myself accountable in front of these guys. It's like look like I'm not exempt from anything. And there's so many different things you can learn from this and like I said, we'll be good. ... I think it was one of those things where we understand what it takes and credit to the Knicks for coming in there beating us in the first game. We got two days to watch the film and get right and we got guys that'll respond. I love the guys in the locker room. I love our fight, I love our effort and for me, I hold myself accountable as well and get ready for Tuesday.

Cleveland as a team simply needs to shoot better. They shot 32 percent from behind the arc and were 1-for-8 in the first quarter. Digging yourself into a hole like that is awfully tough to overcome in the postseason.

There is still a lot of series left to be played in this one. The Cavs and Knicks will face off in Game 2 on Tuesday in downtown Cleveland.
