The Cleveland Cavaliers could be shorthanded against the Chicago Bulls.
Cleveland announced that Donovan Mitchell is questionable to face the Bulls because of an eye injury.
Mitchell is having a stellar season for the Cavaliers. He's averaging 28.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game while shooting 47.9% from the field, 36.4% from beyond the arc and 85.4% from the free-throw line.
The Cavaliers are in fourth place in the East. Meanwhile, the Bulls are in 12th. Cleveland must defeat Chicago. The Wine and Gold need to be in playoff mode with the regular season almost over.
As most people know, the Cavaliers haven't advanced past the second round of the playoffs in the Mitchell era, which began in 2022-23. Cleveland acquired former MVP James Harden from the Los Angeles Clippers at the trade deadline, parting ways with Darius Garland.
If Harden, Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen can't get to the conference finals this season, more trades could happen in the summer for Cleveland.
